The Kafue Focus Group was formed on 22 October 2013 during the CSO sensitization workshop held at TECLA Lodge in Lusaka. At its inception members were from NZP+, Treatment Advocacy Literacy Campaign (TALC), Ministry of Community Development, Mother and Child Health, CIDRZ, Pride and RICAP.
The Focus Group has been involved in MeTA Zambia activities that have included a radio programme on ZNBC’s Radio 4 on 31 October 2013, the CSO information sharing on 26 June 2014, followed by training in coalition building and data collection on 27 and 29 August 2014 at Mika Lodge, participated in the MeTA Forum 28 August 2014 at Chrismar Hotel and Round Table on 18 September 2014 at Courtyard Hotel.
The focus group has held monthly meetings from January 2015 and an information sharing meeting on 6 March 2015 at Mika Lodge in Lusaka.
